Since its inception the Volunteering Wales Strategic Grant (VWSG) awardees have produced research and resources that are moving volunteering practices forward for Wales through collaboration. This fund will enable a small number (approx. 5-10) of strategic investments (with the potential to deliver volunteering benefits at scale) to develop, build on, new or enhanced approaches/initiatives for volunteering across Wales. Enabling support for ideas or projects at all points in their life-cycle from “proof of concept” to the upscaling and embedding proven models. Grant requests are welcome for projects up to 18 months, with the value of £50,000 to £100,000.

A Place For Sport offers clubs a great opportunity to engage with their community and raise money. If clubs or community organisations can raise money towards a targeted goal, Sport Wales will pledge funds up to 60% towards the given project. On the Crowdfunder website, people pledge money to support the cause or idea. In return, the person donating money can also get a reward, which can be a product, benefit, or service.

To reverse habitat loss and improve the condition of Welsh peatlands, we have capital peatland restoration grants of between £10,000 and £250,000 available. The total value available for the grant programme is £700,000. The peatland restoration grant will enable individuals and organisations to deliver peatland restoration projects during April 2026 to March 2027
